Dear Families,

L&G Players are performing their One Act play, She Kills Monsters, today at 2:00pm and Wednesday at 7:00pm in Dutton.

On Monday, author Tiffany Jewel will be visiting TES and Leland & Gray to do readings and book signings.

This week, we are administering the VTCAP state assessments. Grades 6-9 will be taking the English and Math assessments, and grades 8 and 11 will be taking the Science assessment.

Testing begins at 8:00am on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Please help your students arrive to school on time with a charged chromebook so testing can begin promptly! Makeup testing will take place on Friday.

High school students who are not testing do not need to arrive before 9:45am. Students who arrive before 9:45 will be supervised by staff in the Library. Middle school students should arrive at the normal time.

The Leland and Gray Players present SHE KILLS MONSTERS, a play by Qui Nguyen.

This year’s show is about Agnes, a high school senior who attempts to learn more about recently deceased sister, Tilly. After Tilly's death in a car accident, Agnes discovers a Dungeons and Dragons notebook in Tilly’s room. In an effort to connect to her sister, Agnes enters a world she once mocked. In this dramatic comedy, playwright Qui Nguyen presents a world filled with monsters, pop culture, and epic battles.

There is a final community performance on March 25 at 7:00 p.m.

Theater Volunteer Opportunity

Hello parents!

On Saturday, 3/28, we will be hosting a regional festival as part of Vermont One Act Festival. We are in need of parents who can help out that day to help receive schools, serve lunch and dinner, and work at concessions/ticket counter.

The Leland and Gray Players are excited to highlight the school's program and share their passion for theater with three other school's. Please let me know if you have any questions, and if you are able to participate or contribute in any way!

Thank you!

Windham Bus

There will not be a Windham Bus on Wednesday April 8th or May 20th.

Students can use the Townshend Country Store bus stop at the bottom of Windham Hill. The morning pick up is 7:20 and afternoon drop off is at 3:05.

Talking to Kids About Vaping
Did you know? March is Vape Awareness Month. Kids hear about vaping from peers, online, and in advertising, often targeted at teens. And they aren’t learning the truth about the dangers of vaping from these sources. When parents and caring adults start open, judgment-free conversations, it can help kids & teens feel more comfortable sharing what they know or are experiencing with vaping. Ask curious questions, choose relaxed moments to talk, and share simple facts about nicotine addiction and the health risks. Keeping the conversation ongoing helps teens feel supported and better prepared to make healthy choices.
