Leland & Gray Union Middle & High School

Resources

Leland & Gray Union Middle & High School's school social worker, Alicia Carey, supports students and families by helping them access essential resources and navigate challenges both in and out of school. Alicia works to ensure every student feels safe, supported, and ready to learn.

Available Supports Include:

  • Assistance accessing food, fuel, and heating support

  • Help obtaining clothing, shoes, and hygiene products

  • Support with health care and dental care, including free tier 4 dental services at school

  • Coordination of winter activity assistance (gear, passes, scholarships)

  • Coordination of Stratton Foundation Head-to-Toe Program

  • Access to on-site showers, laundry, and additional basic-needs and resources

  • Connections to community programs and services

To help us maintain equity of opportunity, families are encouraged to complete our Resource Form. This short, confidential form helps us determine eligibility for items such as coats, shoes, boots, mittens, and other essential and limited supports, as well as future scholarship opportunities.

Our resources are available for students and families who would benefit from them, and completing the form simply helps us ensure that assistance goes where it’s needed most. While the Resource Form is not required for school enrollment, it is an important tool in helping us connect families with helpful programs and services. All information is kept private and used only to provide support.

Alicia is here to partner with students and families, offering confidential support and guidance whenever it’s needed. Families are encouraged to reach out for help, questions, or resources at any time at ACarey@WindhamCentral.org
