Hello,

I want to start with a major announcement on behalf of our theater program.

The Leland and Gray Players will present She Kills Monsters on Tuesday, April 7 at 7:00 p.m. at the Latchis Theatre.

The cast and crew of She Kills Monsters had a terrific performance at the Vermont Regional Drama Festival hosted by Leland and Gray on Saturday, March 28, and the show was selected to advance to the State Drama Festival at Bellows Free Academy in St. Albans, held over two days, April 10 and 11.

To prepare for the State Festival, The Players have added a performance at The Latchis Theatre in Brattleboro. Admission is $15 for adults, and $10 for students and seniors, to be paid at the door. Shows are open to the public.

ABOUT THE SHOW:

Agnes is a high school senior who attempts to learn more about her recently deceased sister, Tilly. After Tilly's death in a car accident, Agnes discovers a Dungeons and Dragons notebook in Tilly’s room. In an effort to connect to her sister, Agnes enters a world she once mocked. In this dramatic comedy, playwright Qui Nguyen presents a world filled with monsters, pop culture, and epic battles. For this production, actors are working with local fight choreographer Reily Mhera Mumpton to create stylized "Dungeons and Dragons" violence while ensuring actor safety.

Additionally, on Wednesday, April 8, please come to our spring concert at 7:00 pm in the Dutton Gym.

Teaching Self-regulation and Impulse Control
Helping kids build self-regulation and impulse control early can reduce risky behaviors later in life. Natural High shares how simple, everyday habits at home can make a big difference.

Try this quick strategy:
Ask your child to name one goal for the week, one possible obstacle, and one plan to handle it. This small reflection builds their ability to pause, think ahead, and make thoughtful choices.
