The passing grade is a 2.5

Grades will only be reported out on a 1-4 scale. Teachers can only record scores in .5 intervals (1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, etc...).

Students will be receiving two grades for each course: an Academic and a Habits of Learning grade

• Honor Roll there are two honor rolls, one for Habits of Learning and one for Academic Proficiency. 

Report Cards will be issued at the end of the semester and not each quarter. You will be receiving progress reports three times over the course of a semester. 

We have policies for Reassessment, Credit Recovery, and Incompletes.  These include strict deadlines so make sure to read that section of our website under grading.

Habits of Learning have four categories and are separated out from academic grades. These scores are reported in Alma and on progress reports and report cards. Habits of Learning scores are what determine eligibility for co-curriculars.  

There are three categories of assessment

• Summative Assessments

• Formatives 

• Gateway Formatives

We have adopted the use of Gateway Formatives. These are formative assessments that students must complete in order to attempt any summative assessment.  Teachers will clearly communicate which formative assessments are gateway formatives.
